Well, the HDC Failure light came on again today. It has appeared off and on over the last couple weeks. It will stay on untill I stop and park or leave it overnight. I park on an incline but, not a steep slope..

Ran the codes and got p1884 and p0102 - MAF related codes from starting it without air box sealed completely. Cleared codes and they have not returned since.

HDC failure light still on intermitantly.....no chimes x 3 ever - stays illuminated (amber) not blinking.

Ideas?

Interesting, I will check for that..I also got feedback it could be old brake fluid and may need a flush. I'll try both. TY!

I am wondering what you found out about your HDC light? I the exact same problem and would love to figure out the root cause. My HDC works fine when i shift into low range and turn it on but like described above my yellow HDC light comes on intermittently. Any thoughts our solutions would be greatly appreciated.

That poster has been driven out of Discoweb and probably won't respond.

HDC only works in low range. If you try it in high, it will beep and blink at you.

The RAVE manual suggest that a brake lamp relay open/short would cause only the HDC fault light to come on.

If the HDC fault light is on, the HDC information light flashes and the audible tone is on continuously, the system has detected a fault.

If the HDC information light flashes and the audible tone is on continuously, the conditions for HDC are not met.

If the HDC fault light flashes and the audible tone is on continuously, the system has entered the brake overheat prevention mode.

Resurrecting this - have the same issue. Does replacing the brake relay fix? Where is this located?

I looked at the threads in the archives and followed the links to LRO. What was that thing all about? The whole getting run out thing sounds like a great story.
