Ok, so I had the problem last night, my lights wouldn't turn on. It is a 95 Disco. So I go and unplug them, then plug them back in and they work, the quick fix since it was around 10pm. Then I stop and turn it off, then come back 5 minutes later and the low beams wouldn't work, only the high beams. So I drive a few blocks to my buddy's home. When I leave about 2 hours later only the driver light will work, and that is only on high beams.

Now today, I go to the car and try to mess with the connection and clean them out. The passenger low and high beams work, however the drivers low beam won't work, again only the high beam. So does anyone have a clue what the problem is? I would like to be able to drive at night, and I could not drive with the brights on, they lights are the silvania one that is the brightest, best one, and they are very bright.

HELP.

What is the wattage on the bulbs? If it is higher than the stock 55, you could have issues with your switch (assuming that you didn't run the headlights off of a relay).

I am not sure what the wattage is, however it is the headlight that was for the 94-99 D1. So you say the switch, eH?

Had the same problem and it was the contacts between the bulb holder and the plug. Removed the plug from the bulb holder and sprayed both with some contact cleaner and didn't have a problem since then.

I'm sure you already looked at the 3 prong connectors at the light, but I have a feeling that they might be the problem. The female ends definately wear out. If you have a loose ground there, the current will backfeed through one of the filaments (sp?) and cause the lights to act very weird. You might want to check out where you can get new connectors with pigtails on them and just replace them.
