Does anyone have any after market leads or replacements from any type of vehicle for a heater core and blower motor for an early vin # 1988 RRC. Any help would be kindly welcomed. British Atlantic has a pricey core, but no blower.

Thanks,
Dayton

Check with PTSchram, I believe the blower motor he sells will fit a 88. I know it fits a 90. Depending how good your core is, a local radiator shop may be able to refurb it. In my case, it was only a little more to buy the AB new core vs reflowing my core.

Oh, and have fun taking the dash and heater box apart :D

any advice for that dash removal part?

Yep, just drive it in the summer.
I've done it twice and won't do it again.
If you do it , be carefull with the plastic heater core pipes that go thru the firewall easy to break , mark all wires well, be patient, and be ready to break a few little plastic lips .
The upper middle and lower dash will need to be removed as well as the counsel.

i bought a 1990 RRC that has a leaking head gasket. well let me back up. the RRC i bought came with a bypassed heater core and a new genuine core in the box from RN. im not actually sure what the problem with the core is. did it only leak because of the blown head gasket, or did it leak and let the coolant level down too low and that caused the head to blow? etc. etc. I have the instructions printed off from AB or RN, i forget who, but I found it amusing that the first step is to remove both front doors for easier access. Im pulling the heads currently to replace the head gaskets and I figured I will deal with the core once its actually drivable and registered.

Removing doors didn't make sense to me either, but make sure the seats are all the way back and down before you disconnect the battery.

you didnt need to remove the upper dash.

There was a clearance issue if the upper dash was left in place. If you've gone that far into the dash, what's a few more nuts and bolts?
