There is a heavy gauge wire near the starter already so it probably doesn't go there.Any chance those are for your starter? The black tab looks like what should slide onto the tab and the heavy gauge is arranged to go on the screwed post. I've never seen them that far above the engine, though, so maybe the alternator instead? I'd hate to send you down the wrong path. Where do they originate?
All three go to starter and starter area?Big Heavy Gauge is power from Battery, Smaller is for starter solenoid, Plug is for Knock Sensor. ALL on that side under the heat sink. If you already have a heavy gauge wire coming from the starter, you sure its not ground?
@Frobisher Yours is like the wiring in the classic. They route from the frame over. 1996 and newer come across at the front to the block and back under/through the mount. @RoyLuke either is fine. typically we just route under the mount and ziptie it up.Hi Roy,
Now that I just looked closely at my ‘95, my wires are totally different. My heavy wire is wrapped with plastic wire wrap and separate from everything else as it comes from the battery. It goes along the top of the frame and comes in at the last minute to the starter. The black tab wire comes in from the bulkhead on a totally different path to the starter.
My guess is totally off. Sorry about that.
