I even made a Craigslist ad. Anyways, ive been fooling with these things for entirely too long. I have a Safety Devices rack with four Hella 1000s up front along with a 550 on the rear. My eventual goal is to wire all of them into the factory switch with the rear lamp on a seperate switch, i also want the rear lamp to illuminate when reversing. I want them on a trailer harness for quick disconnect purposes, too. I have all the necessary supplies as far as i know that I need. Im directly between Chattanooga and Knoxville, TN and have stuff to do up in Knoxville this week for school stuff; so i wouldnt mind driving a little farther if thats what it takes. Ill compensate/buy a meal.

If anybody interested, reply to the thread, PM, or call me. 423-3three7-3eight73

I installed mine ( 4 kcs on front/work lite on back) to an arb 3 switch assy mounted where the ash tray used to be. I have a snorkel and ran the wires between the smorkel and wind screen with a trailer connector at the top near the rack. Entrance for wires was made thru area just left of left wiper. Makes for a nice clean install, and lite operation. Can send pics if you need.

Let me know if you need an extra light switch pod to replace the ashtray. I have a 2 switch and a 3 switch pod I'll let go for cheap. Might even have some switches too.

Thanks for the link. That shits complicated. I can hardly screw in a light bulb, not sure ho the hell I could do all that.

Now, for simplicity, is there any way I could just tap into reverse fog lamps for normal operation and do the diode trick for reverse?
Yeah, tap into the reverse lights wire in the passenger rear corner. Tie your reverse fog lights into that.

Tap your reverse lights into a relay which powers the rear lamp...would not use it to power the lamp.
