I had a similar sunroof issue this week end too. I have D2, so I checked fuse 12, it was ok - In fact the rear sunroof was working fine, only had issue with front. I connected multimeter to red sunroof motor lead and it got ~13v when I used the switch, so it was good there. I then removed the sunroof motor, 3 torx screws and the motor worked fine. I then manually slid the sunroof forward, this was kind of rough even though I did it evenly. I then re-attached the sunroof motor and pressed the button to close the sunroof. I used the sunroof a bunch of times since then and it keeps working. Not sure why I had the issue to begin with. Perhaps I need to lube it? Does anyone know how to do this? i.e. do you lube the two worm gears, or just the motors pinion gear, or the track the sunroof slides on, or all the above?
Thanks,
Dave
