I have a strange noise that I am trying to find the source. Since I bought the truck two months ago (D2 ?01 SE7), twice after I hit a pothole or make a sharp turn there is something that comes loose inside the dashboard right behind or to the left of the radio. You hear the noise only after you hit a bump or when you turn; sounds like a brick that slides from left to right or up and down. It a very loud noise, the first time it happened, it when away in about a day. This time the noise came back while making a fast turn to the right and hit a pothole. It looks to me that whatever comes loose eventually settles back in and the noise goes away; it has been two days and it is driving me crazy. I thought it was something behind the engine heavy enough to produce such a loud noise or maybe a loose shock absorbent but I think its inside somewhere in the dashboard.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it the radio or perhaps another electronic component as heavy as the radio? Again, if I am driving at 25MPH and hit a bump, something heavy rattles (bounces) between the upper and lower walls of the dashboard somewhere around the radio.
