HELP with sunroof

Just in time for hurricane season, my electric sunroof desided to play games with me. I have a 1996 D1 with an electrical front sunroof. I almost never use it but last week I had to open it to work on something. It opened fine but when I went to close it, it would not go down. With a little manipulation and a lot of swearing, I finally got it to the point where it was almost all the way closed.
Today on the way to work (freeway) I got a lot of wind noise, I guess the sunrrof was not as "closed" as I thought.
Can anyone please help me get it closed all the way so I can just put the fuse and leave it like that---before the rain comes back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remove the finisher below the switches. It's a trapazoid shape. Look behind it and locate the allen hole for the "gearbox" on the sun roof motor. Insert an allen key to the hole and turn. This will allow you to operate the sunroof manually with the allen.
I don't remember the size of the allen.

How did you get the sunroof closed as much as you have?

Thanks for the help. I'm having trouble picturing where the "finisher is. The operating switch is directly above the gear shift lever. Where is the "finisher" in relation to the front dome light and the switch? How do I get it off once I locate it?
I got the sunroof closed to the point it is now by the pressing down a small sort of circular piece of plastic on the sides of the sunroof where the track is.

In the center of the map pocket assy, there is the switch pack for the sun roofs. Just infront of it (the switch pack) is the trapazoid finisher. Pop it off with a small screwdriver or pick to access the sunroof motor. It shouldn't require too much force to pop the finisher off.

Do you have 2 sunroofs or just 1 front? It affects the style of your switch panel, and how it comes off.

If it's a single roof aftermarket set up, it would depend on how it's set up. But they are all usually of similar configuration.

Great pictures, thanks for the effort. I have 1996 D1 so my set-up is a bit different. I have two sunroofs but the rear is manual. The open/close buttom on my Rover is exactly where the trapazoid piece is that you took the pics of. Where your front and rear sunroof operating buttons are is where my ARB controls are.

I bought the Rover used and had a IIA before so I am still learning the truck. Does that mean that my sunroofs are not factory?
