To answer the original question

"Does anyone know anything about these guys? "

I am in the Solihull Society Land Rover Club in Colorado, and am in charge of Sponsorship & Vendors for the Land Rover National Rally. I have been fortunate enough to be able to meet several great people, and see many different, and new products from companies across the nation. Hi Country Off Road was a sponsor at the rally last year in Moab. Prior to this I had never met Matt or his wife Kelly, but once getting to know them I have become a supporter of their products, and the way they conduct business. Matt is the type of person that can engineer anything you need, custom or standard. He has fabricated several custom parts for my Classic from custom brackets for my 4 link, to adjustable bump stops, and shock mounts to accommodate 14" plus shocks. This company is constantly working hard to satisfy each customer personally and I've seen Matt go way past that "extra mile" for a client. To say the products they make are "shit" is an uneducated opinion. The products Matt produces are good quality products that he can and will modify to make a customer happy. I am not in any way associated with Matt's company, and I have many great products from RoverTracks, Rovertym, Rock Star, and many other companies on my rig. I just cant believe how certain people spout !!!

... have to say that I should be receiving my front bumper from Hi-country any day now, and I'm eagerly anticipating it's arrival. I didn't announce to the whole LR community that I placed the order, nor did I feel that I had too. The truth is, if you're paying for a product and done your research, who gives a fuck on what he or she says. Just try the damn thing out and if it's crap, than it's crap. We don't need the LR community's approval to try crap out. Take other people's experiences as notes and not as the gospel.

yaaahh, that didn't work right

lets try again :agree:

Ok Denny your bumper does look good but the posting was and still is about HiCountry... Personally I find it kind of tacky when a vendor comes on to a posting about another vendor's product and trys to sell their stuff to the people that are asking about the other product...

I am not trying to be a dick I just am currious... And as I said before I like the look of your bumpers, I do prefer to buy localy though, and Matt's prices are a bit on the lower side compairing to yours...

Vader,

Are you the guy with the sic Lime Green Classic???
And I do agree with your statements about the service fully...

Rmarti,

I think you will be pleased with your choice in bumper... Did you get the grill/brush gaurd on yours?

"uneducated"? Please explain this one.

I doubt you can.

Would you buy this? If not, why? I'm sure it will take a beating.

Would you rig something like this? Why or why not?

Point is, Vader, sometimes you can just look at something and know it's shit.

I've met Matt and seen his stuff in person and on the trail and it is quality work! Would I buy it it? No, not because I think it is shit. Asthetically I would want something that follows the "Land Rover" lines more to my liking, but that is my personal opinion.

Chris, You are correct that this thread is about HiCountry and no one else but I did not drop my product into this discussion. I just agreed with Mike's post.

Michael, $750 is high now that the price of steel has gone down but unfourtanately 90% of all quality rover sliders are over $500. We have actually gone down to $650 and our site should reflect this and other pricing soon.

Not true about everything. That silver truck of yours for instance; it looks like hell except for the Crawlers but it was probably the most capable truck at SCARR. :D

But with aftermarket and bolt-on bs, you can just tell from the appearance of the product whether it is street queen shit or an actual, quality, product.
