Mine seems to get stuck in High after driving for any length of time, but if I let it "cool" for about 20 min. it will shift into low. Does anyone have a pic of where the solenoid is and what it looks like so I can remove it. '99 D2

Thanks,
Steve

Just did mine yesterday in preparation for the SCARR event. You need to remove the front half of the rear drive shaft, remove the parking brake hub, then find the solenoid cover located on the upper half of the transfer case. It's a cover with a elevated round piece in the center with four bolts around it holding it on.

You need to take that off, pull the lockout switch out and grind the 'nipple' down flat, leave just enough of it there so that the little clamp can still be hooked back on, put it all back together and there ya go.

My thread asking the same thing, just for reference-
