Hi Guys,

It is flood season here in Houston, and I am worried bout my Rover.

First, how high of water is it safe to drive through? And at what speed?

I ask this because every time I drive my Rover through a big puddle. E.G. water higher than my ankles it seems that my SES light popes on for a while after. It will usually go off after a few hours.

Also, this one time I went through a puddle the engine seamed to studder, but it did not stall.

Each time I have had heavy rain in the Houston area my SES light has turned on, and my friends (non LR owners) are starting to make fun of me and my Rover

Is there something I can check, or adjust do to prevent this from happening?

Also, a note on splashing through puddles, and such? If I hit any sized puddle, with one or two tires, and it is enough to make splash, it always seems as if the splash arcs back to it me in the windshield, were as other cars going through the same puddle make a splash and it arks away from the car, and does not hit their windshield. Any ideas?

Any Info would be a great help.

Go buy a snorkel

and a diesel.

a good rule of thumb is nothing you have not walked through first. all it takes is one misjudgement or a summerged log to kill you and the rover.
