Hood Pins

Has anyone drilled the hood and installed hood pins on a D1? I'm having trouble with the hood release, as I need one person to pull the release handle and someone lifting the hood at the same time. If anyone has tips and/or pics that'd be great!

replace the rubber bumpstops under the hood with the pins drill thru the hood first then close it and drill back thru the hood into the spot where ya meet the pins ...remove the hood latch first... but not the safetly latch that stays ....remove the rubber nipple lookin things ... then the headlights ...its real simple ...tie the hood clips down with wire or use locks if u live in the city
