how do I remove oil cooler lines

How do you remove the oil cooler lines from a 199 disco 2 Do you push the plastic collars twards the fire wall ,or twards the front of the truck ? cant get them off. radiator is almost out

Back towards the fire wall, away from the oil cooler.
I had to spray some penetrating oil on mine and let them soak.
Than I tapped them back with an open end wrench to lossen them up.
They rust and fill up with dirt.
I guess you should replace the o-rings but I never did and I have no leaks yet.

Do You Hold The Line While Pulling On The Coller ?

Once the collar on mine was freed up I could hold the hose in one hand and pull the collar back with my index finger and thumb. Than slide the hose back.
Works like a quick disconnect on a air hose except there is no air pressure to blow it off.

Wow, that gives me an idea... Maybe you should remove them with the engine running so that the oil pressure will help push them off.......

No didnt need to do that. Got them off ! Next time Ill drive the truck through a brick wall .
