How do people not know what a Discovery is?

I really don't get how people still now have no clue what kind of car I have. I just got a parking ticket at school (which is BS), and on the blank for the model he put "Safari Gard". I had never heard of the Land Rover Safari Gard, is that a new model? Just because I have a Safari gard sticker on the side rear window he seemed to think that was the model. But I don't see how he didn't call it a rovertym since i have that one on the other side. Seriously, how do people not know what it is, I know they are just fake cops, but still!

I got out of a parking ticket because they idiots put down 'Toyota Land Cruiser.' I sent them a letter stating that I have never owned any vehicle manufactured by Toyota, and that they've obviously made a mistake. I also put, as they always do, that if I didn't hear back from them within 30 days, I would consider the matter closed. It's been a year and not a peep out of em! :)

Good luck!

Oh I am not concerned at all, its funny that campus police has nothing else to do then tag me. They don't like me there in general and they may object to some of the stickers on my vehicle. But somehow I got my first parking ticket of the year, but I also got one for being a habitual offender...right...with only one ticket that was given at the same time, I think not. Maybe I should inform Safari Gard they manufacture Land Rovers now.

Where do you go to school? Louisville? Cinci? Maybe they are making some extra money to help them in their transition next year to the Big Least Conference, along with my Bulls. "Big Time" football aint cheap, you know!

I got to Xavier, and we have no football team. We haven't had one since i think 1979 because of title 11 we had to get rid of our football team. Oh I know they love to make money, seeing how they had slaped me with $200 in fines during the last year and $120 fine at the end of the year for 'damage' to my dorm room which is BS. I guess the $30k tuition was not enough that we have to pay that and pay $120 for a bloody parking pass. I think they are just upset at their life that they could not make it as a real cop, so they have to be fake cops.

My Realtor drove a Disco-II and did not know it was a Discovery. She always referred to it as a Land Rover.

Since she was more of the (desired) Land Rover purchasing demographic than I am, it makes sense that LR is changing the name of the new model to the LR3 instead of Disco-III.

Heh. I'm a Realtor and I know damn well what I drive. :D Part of getting your real estate license should include a basic "vehicle recognition" test.

I like it best when people get Range Rover and Land Rover confused and when people think that Range Rover made my DII. I dont know how they get that wrong when land rover is right on the front of the hood.

The Hiway Patrolman left the accident scene shaking his head, but at least I didn't get a ticket. He said that if they hold up that well in an accident maybe he should get one of them "Land Rover things...but it's not a toyota, right, it's a Land Rover". The $600.00 Tuesday, LRW.

""How about the fact that my service advisor continually refers to my DII as a Range Rover""..Too funny! So does my mom! And she knows better. Grrr! Get it right mom! :)
The campus police are sooo fun!! One year @ OU I racked up close to 1000.00 in parking tickets. They would read Toyota Discovery or Rover Jeep?? After the OU Football come back, some brilliant mind decided to over enroll the student body and consequently offered absolutely no parking to compensate for the high influx?? It became "create a spot".
