Im about to head down to Auburn to check out one for $5K that might be good.

Ive seen some comments around the internet to watch out for 2005-06 models. The one i'm about to go see is an 05, should I be worried?
Yes and no. If it smells like mildew and water leaks don’t buy it. Pull codes. If they got cleared recently walk away. He’s hiding something.

Welp, I drove down to Portland yesterday and drove back with a 2008 LR3 SE.

The stars aligned and I lucked out. Previous owner was meticulous in maintaining and fixing and all around a nice guy who was up front with anything that didnt work exactly like it should. Hell, they even provided an oil analysis!

Everything important is in working order like it should, no codes, paint is good, parking brake/special programs/etc all work, no nav/info screen and now that Ive driven this one, im good without it. The extra storage up top is a nice feature.

Thank you for the help narrowing down what I need and what to look for.
