What's the current going price for a '95 (cloth interior no sunroof), high miles, tru-trac & GBR shaft up front?

Passed smog 2 days ago and is driveable. All electricals work as designed :( .

Don't want to part it out. I could drive it from Las Vegas to socal or anywhere north along the I-15.

[edit] I could be persuaded to travel east, but I'd want to be within a day's drive (1300 miles?) and a cheap air connection to Calgary.

I would donate to NPR, but I'm afraid they'd just give me my tax receipt and send it to the crusher.

95 with no sunroofs is actually pretty desireable in my book.

I paid 1800 for a 96 with 160k in pretty good shape, 2500 for a 97 5 speed no options truck with 170k

If I needed another I'd be willing to pay more for a 95 with the same mileage that didn't have #$$#$#$#$# sunroofs.

I take it this car has lived it's life in the west and isn't all rotted out? Lets talk.

I gave my 1990rrcto NPR. Tax laws have been changed, you no longer can say it was worth 5k and deduct. They auction it then send you the actual receipt.

It was originally sold in California (Thousand Oaks?). I bought it used from the dealer in Thousand Oaks, and has lived in socal and Las Vegas its whole life.

No rust. high miles 268,000. Original engine.

Some merry-makers drove by last night and put a hole in the rear window. I'm not excited about replacing the glass (or paying liability insurance on a truck that saw less than 1000 miles last year), hence the desire to sell.

Has a new Exide Orbital battery in it (well it's a few months old).

Recently (miles-wise) had a new cat-back exhaust put on.

Comes with factory rubber floor mats!

Front bumper has seen better days, rear is unblemished TJM.

Has blingstein shocks (stock height springs).

I'll take some pictures tomorrow. If anyone has any particular place they'd like to see let me know.

I could use that for my body swap. How is the transmission?

That's the nice thing about LR's. With the proper maintenance & oil changes, these engines can run for a long time. When I sold my 95 (base SD model, no sunroofs, cloth, etc) just over two years ago it had 466,000 kms (291k miles) on the original engine, t-case, etc. I did have to replace the 5 speed trans but I think that was my fault, not the trucks that I blow out fifth gear. I put an auto box in instead and the new owner is still enjoying the Disco.

I have a 95 as well and its good to know the motor lasts that long. I have nearly 200K on mine. Runs very strong. A oil leak out of one of the cam covers needs attention. Change oil every 3,000 - 5,000 miles, add fuel cleaner once or twice a year and the 15K and 30K services.

- never touched:

fuel system
transmission

I am planning a overhaul of the suspension as the shocks and springs probably need to be replaced now that they have nearly 100K on those. I live with the various oil leaks from lines but I burn less than a quart in 3,000 miles so not too bad. I would love to get another 100K out of it. I'm passing it on to my daughter next year so who knows if she crashes the thing. But cross our fingers and hope for the best. They really are great.

Trust me you will really like new springs.
I also have a 95 and recently put on HD springs ...big difference
