I'm looking to sell my 04 Disco SE Silver / Black leather and I was wondering how much they sell for? Truck is in CT.

Here are the details

Good:
Reman AB top hat liner 4.6 engine at 135K, truck now has 145K miles - many many parts replaced when this was done. In hindsight I should have just got rid of the truck.
Tires have around 5-10K miles - LR Hurricane rims
Set of snow tires on 4 LR Mirage rims – ~30-40K miles on them, but might be still ok for one more season
New LR front rotors and pads, around 500 miles on them
3rd row seats / headrests have been added and work well
Alpine DVD changer under passenger seat, 2 headrest screens for 2nd row viewing, and front touch screen control– the wire mess to run all of this is the back of the center console. Also has rear camera in bumper, could use JB weld to hold it in better
CDL
LR drive shaft has ~10K miles on it
sunroofs, AC, heat, etc all work good
Full rubber mats

Bad:
Rear bumper has crack in it due to parking lot, so nice of the people to just hit the truck and never bother to leave a note
Steering wheel shakes, I think this is due to wheel bearings needing to be replaced
Has various rover leaks, engine, transfer case, etc. They don't leak so much that you need to fill them before your next oil change.
Left front seat button cover is missing
Lately has been having issue where truck starts and drive fine, but then when you get to your destination, you hope it starts back up. Perhaps battery is going, but might be something else like the connector that connects to transmission saying the truck is in park. If you leave truck running, then your fine :)

Pretty sure RMS has a slight oil leak. I could have the person who put the engine in replace the gasket, but at this point in time I just want to get rid of the truck.

On the hot start issue, it's probably the crankshaft position sensor. Often abbreviated here as CkPS.

How's the rust?

Dweb value: maybe $2k

Sucker Craigslist value: maybe $3-4k

Agreed, the thing that always amazes me about these things is the un-addressed list of "Bad" items. If you're trying to sell your truck and want to get anything remotely close to a good market value for it. Need to fix the issues. I personally will deduct at least 2x the parts and labor cost of these small issues when I look at at truck. Because to me if an owner can't be bothered to fix the little things what else have they neglected and is just waiting to show it's face the day after you buy the truck.

Also people that are willing to pay top dollar for a car a lot of times have no clue how to fix them and want everything working and have a turn key car. People who know how to fix cars and want to buy a project are looking for a bargain (aka cheap bastards).

A top hatted '04 should fetch $6-7k regardless of stupid cosmetic issues. Buy a $400 proline/terra bumper, check out your shakes, and ask full price.

This really is a regional thing. For us in NC a CT truck is not worth nearly as much because of the rust. I really can't speak for what a truck would sell for in CT. I know how much I would pay for it, but I'm not in the market for an '04. Personally I think the engine is probably worth more out of the truck than in the truck.

But this is DWeb, probably the last place on earth I would come for a good market value. If I was selling a stock truck I would not even bother listing it here unless it was a super clean totally unmolested, low mileage one. I would polish that turd and throw it on CL and hope the potential buyer knows nothing about Rovers.

Unmolested. I wish i would of kept my 04 westminster for that very reason, but it mostly just sat in the garage depreciating. cant find a straight one with a good engine block anymore.

I know where you can find a super clean (about 60k miles I think) Westminster. Problem is that it needs a new motor.
