How can I remove the carpet and trim on the lower tailgate on a 1990 range rover?

On my '95, you just unscrew the round plastic trim caps. If it's still intact, be careful of the vinyl trim connecting the tailgate carpet to the loadspace carpet - very brittle at this age.
