So I've been wanting to get rid of the tasco scope that came on my deer rifle when I bought it and move it over to my .243. I have two leupolds I am choosing from I've found locally, good prices. One is a VX-I 3-9x40mm and the other is the VX-2 (or possibly the older vari x-2, waiting on clarification) in 2-7x33mm. Which would you go with? The vx2 is about $20 more and I'm not sure on the magnification over the 3-9 but is the vx2 coating worth it? I usually won't ever shoot over 250 yards. It's going on a Win Model 70 featherweight .270.
Edit it's the vari x 2. The vx-I is NIB
