Hvac blower under glovebox

Good afternoon all,
2000 discovery 2, fan blower motor for hvac has started ticking, second one in 30k miles. Any suggestions on what else I should check that could cause it? I'd assume these things are pretty simple and it's unlikely a wiring issue but not super familiar. I'm wondering if it's just from all the dust from offroading?

Motors online looks a lot like my D1.. 1 plug and 3 screws and it'll be in your hand in 5 minutes flat. Mine was full of leaves, in Arizona. Not sure how they ever got in there living in the desert.

I would clean the wheel and recheck.

Could also maybe be the HVAC controls intermittently connecting, but that is WAY more common on D1s with their POS slider fan switch.
