I am so flustered with the CVS

So back at Christmas on the way to my dad's (10 hr drive) my truck started idling horribly at stops, gas mileage took a dump, and had a few codes. I had a P0447 code, O2 codes, and a few others that pointed to a vacuum leak. So I replaced hoses, idle got better, replaced MAF and air filter, more improvement in idle, seafoamed her, idle is getting better. Gas mileage still sucks compared to what it was, still have a little bit of a rough idle, and still have P0447 code. So I started diving more into the CVS, I go to check the two pin connector and the wiring, and there is no connector or wiring that I can see. WTF? Except at idle and the gas mileage, my rover drives, shifts perfect. So now I don't know if my truck never had the connector there, and this "vent circuit open" code is being caused elsewhere. Anyone run into this? Yes I have searched!

Hey Staci,

This is just a shot in the dark but check your airbox really well. There are some tabs on there that can get crushed creating a leaky airbox. I was eating MAFs on a regular basis and couldn't figure it out. Corey aka OFFROVER discovered when he was resetting my adaptives that one of the tabs on the lower inboard side of the airbox was bent inward creating a gap. This one is easy as hell to miss and he said that he sees that all the time (he's a LR pro). I was thinking I had a really good seal and everything snapped nice and tight, but I was wrong. Anyway worth a shot at looking into this along with other leaks around the airbox. FWIW I should have had a clue when I saw mud on top of my filter duh huh:banghead:

Cheers,

Mike

Mine does the same thing, I thought it was bad gas, because it would come and go. It cleared up for a while and started doing it again when I got real low on gas, could it be the gas cap too?

Hey Mike, yeah I checked the airbox already........

mastercamper - I would think if it were the gas cap, that it would set off a code for it....Will T and I chatted about it, and he is looking into a few things. It's just irritating as she was fine when I left my house, couple hours later I pulled over and the bad idle was there.

Thanks guys, it's supposed to be nice here tomorrow, so I will fiddle with her some more.
