steve you are correct, and a times i hate Andys rover too, especially when it fouls up a wheeling trip.
my comment was directed at the "i don't remember as many rover haters on the old boards" comment and i suppose i took it personal as andy was here long before i was.
i'll back off now...as i seem to have come off a little strong.

I actually agree with cmonIcantsaytherest. There has been a lot of anti-Rover crap going around. I did not take it that he was talking to Andy though. He was talking to the Mitsubishi guy who thinks his opinion is still wanted 'round these parts.

By the way cmonIcantsaytherest: The reason I can't say the rest is because your little handle there makes me ill. It has ever since I first read it. I guess I have seen too many people die at too young of an age to see any humor or daring in it. It is just plain sick. Now, I am sure it has some cute meaning to you, but the truth is that some 54 year old dude spun out his scooter in front of my house today and left his brains all over the street. Frankly, dying young probably sucks.

I'm sorry if it appears offensive, but it has a bit more than a "cute" meaning.

I study a lot of naturalist and modernist literature in school, and the Stephen Crane/Thomas Wolfe/Virginia Woolf philosophy of dying young extends far beyond any juvenile rhetoric of invincibility...

...and it is also the title of a record by the band Mogwai that I enjoy.

So, again, apologies for appearing insensitive--not my intention--but don't take it as being crass or arrogant!

Apology accepted, but would it not be easier to use your real name like 99.6% of the rest of the board? I can go to a Rover event and see most of the rest of the folks from this board feeling comfortable using thier first name as we swap gimbles. What am I supposed to call you? "c'mon"? Mr. "dieyoung"? I guess I just don't get it, but that won't be the first time.

Now I have to apologize for hijacking Andy's thread. Andy, bring that POS over to my house and lets cut it to shreds and haul it off with my remaining D2 hulk. I think you should trash that hunk. You have invested wayyy to much sweat and tears into that rig. My D1 is coming along nicely and if you could replace the red nightame with a '98-'99 model D1 or 2004 D2 you would be a helluva a lot better off.

Curtis- Two funny things happened today. I started to brew an Amber ale and picked up some supplys for a interesting blonde lager too. The blonde is suppose to be close to a blonde ale, but made with lager yeast. Right now I'm dry at the house, but in 3 weeks, oh happy days will be here again. Also funny was I drove a 2004 d2 S model today. White, dual sun roofs, coil spings, etc and with 8k dealer cash back brings it to about $27,000. If ever want to hold onto an old disco, I suggest not driving a 2004. Even worse, I looked at a RRC with a 3" lift, arb bull bar, tt/detroit/4.11/gbr axle setup, kind of liked that one too.

I actually do love rovers, but I do hate rover electrical problems. :) I wouldn't mind a misu japanse spec WRC lancer evo though...
