I have a couple discos that I love and I really like the looks of a RRC so now im in the market for one. Like I said I really like the RRC but I might be interested in a newer body style as well. P38? I have heard alot of bad things about them but I like the looks of them? What are the years I need to look for and what kind of problems do I need to look for while inspecting one? Any help will be great. Thanks in advance

I have a 2001 Disco, my wife has a 2000 p38, 100k, I love the look and ride, its like any other Land Rover when purchasing used...my advice would be to make sure the current air suspension is in good shape, compressor, air springs etc... this will cost you down the road, or you will have to convert to coils which is what we did 2 weeks ago, make sure the keys come with remote that works....the security system for the P38 is complex...other than that I love the vehicle..hope this helps...

Go LWB RRC 1995...best there is - but like the guy above said..RUST is a big issue - just thoroughly check it out....I love mine - only negative I have with it is the headroom.

I love my 95 SWB RRC. +1 on rust. Inspect notorious spots ie. tailgate etc. Especially check under carpet in DS and PS floorboard/footwells; either water has trickled down from firewall/windshield or coming in from rusted out mudflap brackets.

funny you should talk about rust... would you be interested in a recently aquired west-coast 88 with only 87,000 miles on the clock if a meticulous and scrupulous dwebber just HAPPENED to have one that they are making 100% kick-ass in order to resell?
