I need meat.

The place I used to get pre-sliced boar bacon from doesn't seem to offer it anymore. If they do, I'm not seeing it. That sucks, because it was outstanding.

Who else offers such a product? What's the fucking best out there? I'm digging on the idea of providing bacon for a few people this Christmas, and that was by far the best I've ever tasted.

Dead-set on boar, mind you; as wild as possible without me having to run around in the woods to get it. I'd like to place an order for a few pounds to be delivered packaged separately, as close to the holidays as possible.

Hell, I don't care if one of you buggers killed and smoked the damned thing, so long as it's the cat's ass and I don't have to make a mess.

As I understand it, the boar around VA is useless for bacon these days - they run too much to collect enough belly fat. Don't know if there are lazier pigs down your way.

They aren't actually "wild". They're simply farmed on open range, and allowed to eat whatever the hell they want.

You just have to be careful, because a few places put little pink piggies out there and call them boar.

The stuff I was getting before came from Canada. Right now, there's a place selling from Texas that actually lists the food the animals tend to eat, which is encouraging. The unexpectedly low price, however, isn't. I kind of find it hard to believe.

I might order some ahead of time to see what's what.
