Hi all,

Does anyone have/use the iCarsoft i930 with the 1996-1999 Disco 1's. If so, does it actually work for the ABS, SRS and LR specific codes?

Thanks.
M.

I’ve been searching for a reader that can do this for quite a while. Currently have a SRS light on but no way to troubleshoot. Most advanced readers seem focused on the D2 and forward Land Rovers.

What did the dealers use for these systems? The aftermarket must have offered SOMETHING for the D1 OBD2 trucks. Something besides Land Rovers proprietary setup.

I think both of us are interested in reading and clearing codes related to the SRS and ABS systems for the OBD2 Discovery 1, Most of the non-specialized units only say they can interact with those modules on Discovery 2+

ABS on a D1 is very easy to read without a dedicated scanner. SRS... On my truck, it wouldn't communicate with anything - likely it is comatose.

The Autel has read everything I’ve thrown at it. I’ve not done DI but it says if it’s OBDII, then it reads it.

For $100 it’s worth the gamble - you can use it on every other car you come across.

These old trucks without CAN networks are a bitch. Different connectors to interface all the systems. Restraints had a little short connector that had to sit online between T4 and the diagnostic connector. The Disco2 had a little more on a CAN network. But I think only engine, trans, and still not ABS. Pretty sure that's why you guys all use the abs amigo.

How are you reading the ABS? Does the Rave specify any SRS light troubleshooting procedures? I also had a situation where my SRS module would not communicate when read by an indy LR shop. Was not sure if it was their reader or my system (they had not seen a D1 in years).
