Bacon, after I drank the beer I'd be hungry as hell. How about half a 4 pack of Guinness and half a pound of bacon?

Beer is generally more filling than bacon unless you eat a ton. I guess it all depends on how long I am stranded, but I should be able to get enough nutritional benefit from beer to survive rather than eating just bacon. Hell, if you remove the alcohol, beer is basically a health drink.

A beer? A bacon? Can? Keg? One strip? One slab?

I'd take neither and get on with it.

You can use your empty beer can as a container after you drink it and make tools from the aluminum....BUT you could set a trap with the bacon to catch a wild boar and then you are in business.

1. I am not serious (I feel compelledto note this)
2. I can't believe this hasn't become a discussion about real survival yet, this is Dweb isn't it?

Trappist monks used to use beer while they were fasting. They couldn't eat solid food but they sure could drink for sustinance- and have a merry time at it i might add.

Beer, because it will actually last longer, comes in a bottle than can be used for other things, hydrates, and provides nutrition.

Cheers,
