If your Discovery 2 Nanocom Key Programming doesnt work ... do this

I have an '04 D2 that needed new keys, I bought the $30 ones that are all over ebay and amazon. Borrowed a Nanocom, went through all the steps and key would not sync or detect. He had just purchased the nanocom in October and was also unsuccessful in programming his keys. We tried 4 different keys, nothing. Scoured the interweb, no one anywhere had a solution until I found one post buried deep in an Australian Land Rover forum...

The Fix: Update your nanocom kernel firmware to the latest version. The latest version has a bug fix for D2 key programming.

Great idea. I always tell Nanocom owners to update to the most recent firmware if the have problems with the unit.
Or go onto their Nanocom forum and ask the question about the problem they are having. The mods on their forum are quick to answer.
