"Hundreds of workers' family members gathered outside the plants, with some trying to deliver documentation to relatives inside. In Greeley, cars lined the street leading to the plant."

I bet that was half the population of Greeley

Wow is illegal immigration that rampant in Greeley?

While I do not think it is really ? of the population of Greeley I know there is a large percentage of illegals.

The local radio station said that they have identified over 800 at the Greeley plant so far from this raid

What's the betting nothing is going to happen to the employers
Often, the illegal shows up with a fake driver's license. If the employer has a photo copy of it on file, he is covered. The employer is not responsible to verify if the documents are legitimate.

What's fun is when you have multiple employees who share the same Social Security Number. See how your payroll application handles that. Oh, yes - calendar year end is coming up. Try to transmit W-2 data to the Social Security Administration with Social Security Numbers that are in a range that has never been issued. The file gets rejected. Human Resources contacts the employee and the employee vanishes.

My guess is that Swift was well aware of the number of illegals under their employment. Until there is a process to verify that an employee's documents are legitimate and the employer is held accountable with penalties that have teeth, this will not end.
