Stickers....

Hmmm, that's a style point that hasn't been touched lately around here.

Now I'm not talking about stickers that represent a group or affiliation with a group, I.E. firefighters, Arrmed Forces, NRA, surf club, car club whatever, I'm talking about throwing ARB, WARN, FOX, ROVERTYM, even Expedition Exchange, (unless you are Ho or John) or the absolute worst of the worst OAKLEY.

IMHO if you are not being paid by a company why would you ever put a sticker of that company on your car? So you look like a Nascar Racer, Rally Racer or maybe Paris Dakar drop out?

Boo hoo on stickers on those rear windows of the Disco, they belong on the inside of tool boxes and as emergency duct tape...

well you actualy paid that company for there parts or services and they gave you stickers to advertise the parts that are now bolted to your truck.
may be you should get company dividends for the advertiseing.

im 47 and i love stickers.
i fight my kids for stickers.
my company spends aprox 150,000,000 on an airplane and airbus gives me stickers.

what great guys they are.

Mine all go on the outside of the garage toolbox.

Roverpuppy, is that a pink recovery point?
As for Rovers being for girls, the only girls I see in Rovers out here in SoCal are pretty damn stupid, and need to have there Rovers taken away from them:banghead:

TheLimey, I now have true Rover envy.

It sure is. :)

That, and all 4 of my shackles are painted bright neon pink with Home Depot spray paint.

Mind you, it's a bit of work a few times a year. I have to scrub them down with a wire brush and repaint them when they start chipping.

It's worth the work though - so I can still be girly on the trail. :)

Firestick Antenna company actually dipped my CB antenna's in bright neon pink for me back when I was just started to outfit my truck. I wasn't enjoying the modification process at all, so that was a generous treat that I'm still greatful for.

Actually, I try to keep all of my gear marked with some bit of bright pink. Bright neon pink duck tape is a necessity for me. It sure helps me to visually relocate stuff when I've strewn stuff all over the ground. That, is a common occurance for me.

However, Bill Burke did make a rule for me when he experienced my tendency to spread stuff all over the place. I am not allowed to take my recovery gear out of my truck one item at a time. I have to take the entire bag, put it right in the middle of the trail where I am working, and put the items back in after recovery is complete. I'm not allowed to return the bag to my truck until everything is back in it.

I've done pretty darn good following the rules he created for me. :applause:

That's one of the reasons I am such a believer in private training - even if you can only afford a few hours of it. A good trainer will spot your personal deficiencies immediately and take steps to correct them. Or, as in the case of my losing and misplacing recovery equipment problems, give you a system for compensating for them.

Sorry to ramble on. This is the closest I've come to human contact in the past few days. I'm in process of another round of online FEMA exams. I can't wait to finish - I'm getting tired at sitting at my computer!!

Best Regards :) Jamie, Blue, and Angel

p.s. When your gear is bright neon pink and you do accidentally leave something behind, the boys always return it to you!! Boys don't like pink stuff, ya' know.

Gee, I never thought of it like that. I'm going to have to get me some hot pink spray paint this weekend and get to sprayin'!
