OK, comments retracted!

I don't know, I have a pile of engines and body panels. To me, given the period of time I've had these piles of parts the price of those parts becomes nearly zero, time is the precious commodity.

I suppose if I wanted a driver today, I'd buy one, but I have a number of projects that may end up never getting finished, or may take forever to put together with cheap parts.

That will change things for sure. I usually have a pile of rovers around but not parts. I am a turnkey kinda guy. Probably because I am too stupid to build something myself.

just buy a 90 complete from the other side of the pond that is solid and in good shape.

You have to look at a lot of them in person to find one that is solid and in good shape. And even then you have to make some sacrifices. They're all really old.

Very true. I have been looking for a while for some to bring in and it is not an easy search. My first one will be here around 12/08 and is going to be a solid truck that has already had some key upgrades (200tdi) so it should be a great truck...

My point was instead of trying to import some panels and find a disco frame to put it on it would seem to make more sense (and be cheaper) to just buy a 90 complete from the other side of the pond that is solid and in good shape. But maybe I am missing some key point here...

I want a 100 incher with an inected v8 and do not want to feel bad about beating on it. If I import a runner it probably wouldn't meet those requirements

Another option is to import a newer one into Canada, then dismantle and ferry it across the border as parts. If you then use them to upgrade an existing vehicle in poor condition or old, then you've probably saved a pile in the process. Assuming you live close to the border.
