Improving my daily drive?

Interested if anyone has installed the front radius arms or rear links from ROVERTYM? If so have they had any improvement with steering or just general ride? If not, does anyone have any reccomendations short of getting a new ride for a 1990 RRC with larger tires and a 2" lift to improve overall daily driving? Thanks.

Mike, what's bothering you?

My 89 with 2" of lift started to develop that infamous "death wobble" - whenever the front wheels hit a bump or pothole, it took some time for them to settle. Also, braking on uneven surface resulted in ugly wandering all over the place.
Last Friday, I tightened the steering box (19mm or 3/4" hex nut and allen screw), and set the toe-in to about 1.5 - 2mm (measured at the tire sidewall). The effect on driveability was pretty amazing - no wandering and no shimmy anymore.
On Saturday, did the same thing to the 96 Disco, with the same results. It wasn't as bad to begin with, so the difference was not as striking - but no more white knuckles while driving along the highway barriers in cross wind.

Mike:

I recently swapped all of my suspension bushings. The original bushings were completely worn out at 156,000 miles. I replaced them with a set of deflex poly bushes. Although it was alot of work, it is an incredible improvement of the road handling. Th jury is still out on the off road handling as I have not had it off road yet.

Improving daily driving

I have already switched out the power steering box, but it might need to be tightened again. Thanks for the reccomendation about the bushings, I know I am due for some new ones.
