What did anyone think?

It's subjective...... a lot won't like it; "jumped the shark", so to say......

It was entertaining, enjoyable. But, well.....

It sure ain't Raiders, tho'........

About on part w/ Temple of Doom......

I don't want to post any spoilers, but, if you go w/ low enough expectations, you won't be badly disappointed.... go with an open mind, just lookin' for a fun movie, and you may be okay....

A lot of people will scoff at the twist at the end. I can see why. Don't take it seriously.

There are some little bits that really bother me, but, most of them are nit-picking.... there's just one 'big' plot hole that, I think 30-sec of explanation could have plugged enough.

The first half, great. The second half is where it starts the slide.....

Ah well, it's good to see Indy back, regardless..... older and wiser, still chuggin' along....

I just got back from the theatre. I thought it was great. They went back to the original idea, a film serial. Even the end fit the bill. It isn't the same as the others in a few ways, but Indy has changed as well, and I wouldn't expect him to hog all the action in his old age. It was exactly what it needed to be, in my opinion.

Cheers,

Took my son, my GF and her 2 boys to see it at 12:01 AM opening day. We were ALL pretty excited about seeing it. Been a pretty big Indy fan since I was young.

It was pretty much what I expected and I was pretty happy with it. Typical Indy movie to me.

I would not say it jumped the shark, but it did occur to me that maybe these movies have sort of run their course in a way (if that makes sense).

I wonder if they will continue with a new Indy (Shia LaBeouf).

Peace

My son and I went to see it at the 12:01 opening. Then, I went back w/ the wife an daughter yesterday evening.

I agree, the 'monkeys' was a bit much; could have been toned back a hair. The flying fridge too... having it tumble along instead of airborne would have worked better.

(Still trying to not give spoilers yet...)

On the whole, I really enjoyed it, it was fun. I have a bit of a plot hole identified for me, that I think 30-seconds of additional explanation would have been able to plug, but...

I wouldn't say it jumped the shark either, but, there are a lot who do think so. I just don't want to oversell it, have people go and then be disappointed....

I enjoyed it. My expectations were a little low so I was pleasantly surprised.

I enjoyed the opening the most. The fridge was a little much but the shot of Indy on the rise watching what just happened was very cool IMO.

Overall a B-.
