Is your battery dead in your remote?
Also does the central locking button in the vehicle work too lock and unlock the doors? Or do you manually have to lock the doors?

@ Akronk1 ... the remote works fine to unlock the doors, but when I'm driving and I stop to pick up some one I have to unlock the doors manually .. so I don't have a central lock/unlocking button ... I wanna add it so it will be easy for me to open the doors wile I'm picking up some one ..

Don't know how the D1 lock setup is. But, here is another question. When you get to your location couldn't you just press the button on the remote to unlock your doors? Or does the vehicle have to be shut off first? If the remote works then you could get another remote and set it up in a convenient location to unlock the doors.

When you unlock your doors with the remote are you able to open each door from the outside or are you unlocking it and opening the driver's door each time? The lock tabs in the doors may be coming up but your latch may not be opening all of the way or doing this intermittently. I had/have this problem recently with my 98. It sounds to me like the springs in your door latches are worn or possibly broken. A search for door latch springs will provide you with plenty of info.

Also, on a DI the driver's lock tab is the locking/unlocking switch. When in the car if you push it down it should lock all of the doors and if you pull it up it should unlock all of the doors.

On the DI there is not a lock/unlock "Button" like on most vehicles. To open all the locks just pull up on the driver's side door lock tab and they all will follow suit. Same with lock.
