Installation of Passanger Side Mirror

I have read a couple posts I could find on this however I can not get this side mirror on for the life of me. I have some fear of breaking it.

Trying to install on an '03 Disco II.

I have the plastic mount installed. At that point do I slide the left hand side in and the try and snap the right hand side in? If I could get the proper process it would be much appreciated!!!!

Well I got it in place. Here is what I did:

To put it back in catch it first on the side nearest the car then pop the far side in place. It'll take more pressure than you would think so don't be afraid if it doesn't pop in easily. Also, I used a screw driver that I could wedge behind the mirror to put the pop in pressure from the back so I wouldnt break the glass.
