Hey, all. Sometimes when I turn my lights on at night, it takes a while for my instrument panel lights to come on. I checked all the fuses, and they're fine. What gives? Thanks

When switches (like rheostats and potentiometers) get a little dirty or are set in the same place without movement, the electrical connection weakens. What I do is exercise the switch. Roll your dimmer wheel back and forth with the lights on and reset to the brightest position. That will likely take care of the problem...until you have to do it again.

I know this is an old thread but I had the same experience 3 years ago. Mine was the cigarette plug shorting out.
