ok here is a weird one. when i turn on my head lights the interior lights go out. gauge and dash lights. any thoughts?

I had a similar problem on one of my 1995's. It turned out to be a pinched wire located between the steering column and the ignition tumbler. I found it when I was replacing my ignition tumbler. My symptoms were that the dome light fuse kept blowing. I cant remember what else it caused but it's worth checking. Check the wires coming from the headlight switch as well.
LOL, Why call it a "sign off signature"? Does having a signature sign you off or something?
its a 94 non soft dash swb. cleaned the switch. replaced the with. nothing. any ideas? is there a relay someplace I'm missing?
