Intermittent Oil Light...

Had an oil leak from the oil pan, so replaced the oil pan gasket about 3 months ago. A week or so later, the oil light would come while idling, but go off as soon as got the RPMs up to 1000+. Checked oil level and was fine. No loss of power and engine temp was normal. After about a week, it just stopped happening. After almost 3 months, it happened again today.

I do still have a very slow oil leak but haven't been able to identify the source. Again, no loss of power and engine temp is normal. The only issue is the oil light coming on at idle. As soon as I give it a little gas and RPMs hit ~1000, light goes away. Anyone experienced this or have an idea of what's causing it?

Very common scenario. Check your oil pressure because it could be the sender. Also see if the sender is cause for the leak. after that pull the pan and check the pick up screen and make sure its not clogged with silicone. inspect cam bearings and if everything is ok from there pull the cover and check the pump gears. any of those can cause that to happen.

Add some STP honey into it, might help keep things primed with full synthetic oils.

Assuming its nothing else major wrong with it.
