Did the search and have learned lots about connecting an ipod.

From what I have found, most of the links are for product that are compatable with 99-03 Discos, and are for the mid or top line HK system. My G4 has the base model single CD unit.

Has anyone has success with a direct connection to that model?

Scott- what did you find for the other (99-03) discos?

If you haven't looked at adapters to go into the CD-changer input, you might try that. I think Blitzsafe makes one.

Atlantic British sells an ipod device to connect it to the stereo. I was thinking about getting one, but I decided it was cheaper to just burn a bunch of random CDs.

My experience with the FM modulated wireless devices for the ipod went like this:
Got the i-Trip for Christmas, opened it and set it up and then took it int he car for a test. Tried numerous FM stations and all sounded like shit. Drove directly to the store and returned it. The background FM noise, for me, was far worse than having a small cable attached to my head unit.
Just my .02.

I feel the same way that Agro1 does about them.. I tried a few of the FM transmitters and I didn't like any of them.. Some of the best ways to do it ( in my opinion ) is to either use one of the CD changer line in options ( if you don't have a disc changer and stock stereo ) or get a new head unit that has an aux/line in built into it. I have been using a tape deck adapter for 4-5 years now and aside from a direct connection I feel that this is the second best way to go. The FM deal may work better for you depending on where you live and how many radio signals there are but, in my area you get something on almost every station and there is just too much interference.
