ipod connection...

Posted this last night, guess I was sleeping beacuse it ended up in "general"

Did the search and have learned lots about connecting an ipod.

From what I have found, most of the links are for product that are compatable with 99-03 Discos, and are for the mid or top line HK system. My G4 has the base model single CD unit.

Has anyone has success with a direct connection to that model?

Well, since you don't have a changer, one option is to use the changer connection on your head unit (I assume there is one) and turn it into a 1/8" input jack. Then you have the flexibility of plugging other things in there too, like your laptop if you feel like watching a DVD or something like that.

For that matter, if there is a cable to under the front seat for a changer, it should be able to hook up from there.

Who makes an adapter for a 1/8" input jack for the cable from the CD changer?
