Well, keep in mind that hard drive based MP3 players don't like getting shaken and jolted. It's not good for the hard drive. That's why folks that use them while working out and such should get the flash based ones that have no moving parts. I have a friend that found that out the hard way.

The ipod pauses when the headphones are removed from the unit. Try pulling them out when a song is playing and you'll see. It could be that you have a loose connection. The Ipod has a skip protection (can't remember how long), so unless your hitting the whooptidos - it shouldn't skip.

Hey Marc, I just was searching ipod connections and saw what you did, nice work. You know me and computers, so I have a mad collection of 5000 + albums ripped and ready, if you every want to get together and "compare" music

Are there RCA inputs on the back of a Stock LR D1 stereo.... I am sick of my itrip hiss and would like to hardwire it, but dont have the cash for a new head unit.
