I only meant it would work, not that it was ideal. If you are stuck somewhere and the parts store keeps trying to give you a GEMS D1 belt for your 94-95 and it won't fit. LR tachometers arent that accurate to begin with anyhow and the ECU gets rpm signal elsewhere.

Ok, so here is a pic:

It does have a distributor and the numbers on the belt suggest that the belt is the one for the 3.9l. I think that answers my question! I am going to order parts for the 3.9l. Thanks for all the help!
