I would say going 200 in a 150degree hotbox 6" from someone else at least takes huge balls if anything. They get paid well also.

You know, ballet skiing was once in the olympics. Someone considered it a sport.

someone figured out that it is lame or semi brokeback style of sliding down snow to bad music. Some people still pursue the art of brokeback skiing. They are proud of the fact that they nestle closely in thier tents after a day of artistic beauty on the mountains gifts.

Many things that are called sports should really just be classified as "skills". That way they aren't really downplayed in any way but I think the distinction between a "sport" and a "skill" is pretty evident.

I'd argue that NASCAR is more of a sport than baseball. Compared to other forms of racing NASCAR isn't much of a sport, but it is infact a sport.

Try a 24hr kart enduro racing 4 hour shifts, now that's a man's sport.

It's called a motorsport. There are sports and there are motorsports. Sports are athletic competition, motorsports are competitions involving motors and vehicles(cars, trucks, boats, planes).

My brother and I once drove nonstop from Dallas to Philly alternating driving/sleeping. Is that the same thing?

x2. You sweat your ass off in 100 degree temps wearing fire proof gear while trying to strongarm a car around the track. 24hrs, now that even more intense. There are some other track guys out here that will probably chime in.....
