1.5 years ago I was - and bought my Disco. We're a rare breed - in my case, I didn't have time to do another build, so I went with buying one already built. Now, I've made some changes here and there - but nothing that took more than a few days to complete.

I always found this subject interesting. I have put a constant flow of money into my truck for two years now and I always wonder about what its resale value would be. I would never EVER sell my truck as it is my pride and joy but I can't help and think what its worth to someone else. I think we can all pretty much agree that you are going to loose money on the deal. Either way just look at the depreciation value equal to the joy you got out of it.

When I bought my current disco it was semi-modified but since I have added more toys :) and with the last pic think of it with a sd low rack and a 1in. spacer.

I think people would go for it. Though the reason I would be most interested is that the ones I've seen on craigslist go for very close to the price of a stock disco, but some already have the rovertym lift + tires + SD rack + winch and other options that when added together are worth it.

Problem is I think a built rig is generally better for the buyer and the seller seems to be eating the value of the add-ons.
