Issue After TruTrac Install

Just finished installing 4.10 gears and F/R TruTracs. Now the steering pulls a little to the right when it was perfect before. Could this just be a side effect to a front TT and I just need an alignment?
Thanks - Bill

Does it pull on accel/decel? If so, that's normal for a TT in the front. I became really good at not doing either - on freeway ramps.

If you didn't mess with the track rod adjustments - you couldn't have affected the alignment

It may have been out of alignment before the install and the TT just showed it up more. Also check your tire pressure. If one is lower than the other it could affect it.
I'm going to do the same set up, TT F/R but keep the stock gearing. I don't run tall tires and I have the torque monster under the hood anyway.

I had the same issue and it turned out that my front tires were manufactured in different years... one was taller than the other. It's worth checking and maybe you will need to rotate a rear tire to the front.

Truetracs are very sensitve to tire height differences.

Another way to counter that is to measure from the center of the hub to the ground and insure they are the same height, add or lose air to make it equal. This is what you have to do with a Detroit if you have to run a different size tire.

I have TT's F/R and mine are sensitive to about 5 Lbs in the front tire pressure when I notice a pull. This could be the issue, but if your tire pressure is equal L&R, then I would suspect suspension issues such as bushings. I had the same issue until I replaced both bushings on the frame of front trailing arms.

So many parts to diagnose to isolate a steering pull under acceleration.

Caveat: if the 4 tires are the same.... otherwise you will notice a difference. BTW, do not move this issue to the back since it is still an issue, just no nagging steering pull to remind you that something is not correct.

Thanks guys. I've got it in the garage right now getting it ready for wheeling season. Getting the new KM2's mounted tomorrow, so in theory the heights should be spot on. As soon as I get it on the road, I'll post an update.
