Jump Seat Instalation

I am currently looking at a 98 Disco in the local area to purchase (my first one!). The only downside to this vehicle That I can see is that it does not have the jump seats that I need to fit my family in. So here's my questions.

How much would it cost to get all the hardware and seats to install them myself?

Besides the seats, mounting hardware, and seat belts, is there anything else that I would need?

it is not hard to do the install. people on this board sell the seat for $400 or so. if it has rear air i have a set for you. good luck

It does have rear A/C so I will keep you in mind if it works out. I have heard that you need to buy new panels as well. Is there any truth to that?

yes you need the panels. i have every thing. the panles the seat belts all the hard ware. i know this because it is in my parts truck unused. let me know. or you could ask will on this board he has alot of stuf

You can modify existing non-SE7 seat panels to fit the seats.
Beware - riding in the D1's flip rear seats is a Six Flags Mountain experience. If any of your family members is remotely susceptible to motion sickness, riding in the back will do them in.
