Well, after looking around for a while and trying to decide whether to get a Disco or RRC, I found a clean '94 RRC SWB w/ 102k on the clock and bought it today. The following maintenance was performed 5k ago:

Trans fluid and filter change
Diff fluid changed
T-case fluid changed
New air filter
New cabin air filter
New plugs
Coolant flushed
Swivels greased
Swivels completely resealed
New brakes ft & rr
New hub seals
All new belts
Replaced coolant level sensor
New front ABS sensor
EAS replaced with coils

It still needs both rear ABS sensors replaced, the driver's power seat and passenger's power mirror repaired.

The tires are 205 80-16 Pirelli Scorpions and have plenty of tread left. I measured from the center of the wheels to the fenders and have 19.25" of clearance ft and 20.25" rr. I think I'm going to get some 245 75-16s and call it done for now.

I'm excited to be part of the club!

Wow. That's a lot of key maintenance recently done in your favor. Congrats. If you didn't have a particularly discerning ear before now, prepare yourself for all the unusual/alarming/even comforting groans, creaks, and buzzes of a Rover. Pull up the carpet some day and you'll probably find the exact build date via the cigarette or crisps receipts left behind by Sulihull's finest. Welcome.

If your mirror an power seat aren't working it may be your power seat ECU which is under the drivers seat. There are a couple of threads here about servicing a faulty seat ECU. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks everyone!

As for the power seat, all functions work except for one. The back will recline but won't come back up. Does that sound like it could be the ECU?

If the only problem is with the seat incline, it's probably the switch.
Remove the switch and clean it. Make sure you have somewhere clean to work cause when you open it up.....boing!!!!!!!! Springs and ball bearings everywhere!!
It's not hard to clean and reassemble, just tedious.
When your mirrors start moving when you use the seat buttons, then break into the ECU!!

... can't believe nobody's said this yet ....

Swivels Greeased?!

Sheesh, if they're "resealed" get that stuff out and put the 90wt back that's supposed to be in there.

I think Big E is right, most likely the switch, like he said pull it out, apart, clean everything and re-assemble - use some grease for electrical contacts to lube. Not difficult, just don't loose all the pieces. I did mine and they work so much better now.

You know its, funny I never knew there were supposed to be foam filters behind the outside air intake on the decker panel either - mine had disentigrated a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Then a friend of mine had an 89 RRC that he has owned forever and is meticulous about the maintenance and showed them to me.....

Go figure!

Well, the receipt said "Pollen Filter" I believe. It didn't show a price for the filter, just mentioned it in the 90k service description. Maybe it's a generic placeholder for the newer models which may have been equipped with one?

As for the seat switch, thanks for the input guys. I had done some searches on here and say that was most often the culprit, so that was my first plan of attack. When I get some time next week, I'll take it apart, clean it, lube it up, and put it back together.

Thanks everyone for all of the help! This is the first 4x4 I've been excited about since I bought an FJ60 almost 8 years ago!:D

Ahhh...so that's probably the pollen filter they were referring to! I just called it a "cabin filter" because I believe that's what my Saab has. Or maybe I'm mistaken and have seen that term somewhere else before...oh well.
