I saw an ad for the tire last night in the back of a magazine...its pretty much identical to the Krawler, but with a less aggressive sidewall and horizontal sipes going across the lugs.

I just called BFG to get an idea of a release date and see what kind of sizes they're making available, and was told something I wasn't expecting to hear. According to the rep, 315/75-16 is the smallest of the seventeen different sizes being released in September.

I was stoked about ordering a set of these when they were released...

I just saw Bill Burke earlier this summer, and I thought his tires looked like Krawlers, but I didn't looke very closely. I also don't think he is running their supposed smallest size available (315/75/16) I have that size on my Volvo C303 and it is a huge tire. Unless Bill has lifted his truck more, but those tires I saw earlier this year on his truck were at best a 285/75/16.

Anyone know if the KM 1's will still be available in the regular size run?

Realistically that is not that big a tire, probably measure out at 34" once mounted. Us rover types just think a 33 is big. Think of all the perfectly good used tires we can buy as the hordes rush to own the "latest and greatest".
