Just me or is the Toyo at3 the most aggressive stock tire we can get? Looking for new rubber and cannot find anything cool. I want completely stock.

I’d like to keep the standard tire size/oem rims. These thing run amazing off-road. I’ve been super happy and impressed with what this rig can navigate on worn out at’s. No plans for lifts or upping tire size as I’m not looking to stress those already stressed computers out.

I run Falken Wildpeak AT3s on my otherwise stock 04. It does incredibly well. I had Goodyear ATs before these, but they didn't do the best in mud.

Wish I could, 04 had different size rims/ systems for those cars specifically. I would love a wildpeak, ko2, razr.

I installed 265/74r16 BFG AT on my disco 1 at stock height. After a little trimming, mainly camel cut and I was good to go. However the taller tires opened up a new world for me offroading as Diff/pumpkin clearance was my downfall in AZ rocks and dirt.

If I had a chance to do it over again, I'd just get the BFG MUD / MTs in the same size, cut and trim everything to hell, and never lifted my Rover.

I have been enjoying the Atlander Roverclaw MT/1 in a LT235/85/16. They work great in the red clay down here, lots of farm roads but they still behave very well on the highway and in heavy rain. They are currently about $160 each and are being phased out by the MT/2.

These are tall (31.7") but funny enough, they actually corrected my speedometer, which reads fast with the stock 235/70/16.. These eat about a mile per gallon on the highway and I certainly feel the taller ratio when pulling a hill.. though with the 5sp R380 it doesn't bother me much.

They look good and are cheap. They are noisy but I kinda like it. I do have the EMU springs and shocks which seem to give about an inch and a half of lift.. and I camel cut the rears:

I was surprised to see the original tire spec for these rims is 205/16.

I like the tall skinny philosophy but that is a pretty narrow tire for 5000lbs of steel, aluminum and butts going down the road at 75mph :)
