That's awesome! My sister (age 24) has had cancer twice, the 2nd time I donated my bone marrow to save her life. We need more help in this battle. I'm still wearing my Livestrong bracelet, and have been since the first came out.

How??

I can't get mine to last more than a couple of weeks... keeps getting ripped off under the Series.... :p

Seriously though, when they came out I went through three of the things, couldn't get more than a couple of weeks out of them before it snaps. Problem was, suddenly *everyone* had those gummy bracelets, for everything, not just charities, etc.

If they all disappear then I might start wearing the original again, though, if I can get more than a month out of one....

Good for you!! My whole family did the same the first time I got sick (5 yrs. ago) All their bracelets have lasted well. My dad actually took up cycling since and has been in many cancer fundraisers. Also kudos to you for saving your sister, none of my family could help me either time, luckily both times mine went into remission. Hope she is well, scary stuff!!

Thanks for the commentary, but he is still raising millions for cancer research. No one said he was a saint.

Exactly - there are those of us who are glad someone is addressing cancer as a whole not just breast cancer.

I think his wife dumped him, not vice-versa. And then, Sheryl Crow dumped him, then announced what was going on with her. Maybe not, I'm not a drinkin' buddy of his, so what do I know....

That's a little harsh. You don't know what goes on behind closed doors in his personal life. Or anyone else's for that matter.

I used to be a huge fan of his...but the scuttle butte out there is that the type of cancer he had is often related to steroid usage, and former teammates have made mention of blood doping back before it was tested for.

cant say I blame him for dating cheryl crow...she is pretty smokin and as far as his marriage...I hear they are known to fail from time to time

Armstrong was NOT endorsed by Subaru.... The Discovery Cycling Team, which is partly owned by Armstrong and Trek bicycles, uses Subaru's as support vehicles, better known as Sag Wagons in the sport of road cycling. Case in point, the Trek mountain bike team uses VW's, at least they used to. Armstrong is superman, no matter what others say. Any guy with one testicle, lungs cured from cancer, a brain that was affected by cancer, who can win 7 Tour de Frances, f*#$%&(n ROCKS!!!!!!! Oh, and one more thing, Sheryl is hot, wonder if she is available....:)!!!

He wasn't really endorsed by Subaru. He did, however, have a $12 million advertising deal with them. He wasn't dropped. The contract ended.
