My name is Mike, I can tell you anything about my landy so here is a pretty detailed overview, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. This is a 1984 Land Rover defender 110, I had to list it as 1980 b/c ebay wouldn't take the VIN. They are EXTREMELY rare in the states, especially with the sliding windows which really add a lot of extra character. I have had it for almost two years, and I love this landy to death. I am a college student and all of my money is in this truck... I am forced to sell it financially. I bought this truck thinking that I was going to keep it forever, and that is how I have treated it since I bought it. I rebuilt the motor less than 250 miles ago. It was done right with an offenhauser dual port intake manifold(simply the best, and hard to get), holley four barrel carb, crane cam, new timing gear and chain, all new bolts and gaskets, new lifters, and flowmaster exhaust, k&N air filter. I also had the exhaust valves ported while they were at the machine shop. I have redone all of the suspension in the last 1k miles with Old Man Emu heavy duty springs and shocks, and I put coil spacers in because I was planning on puting slightly bigger tires on it. The current tires are about 33in tall BF Goodrich All Terrains, with approx. 90%+ tread life. It has a brand new Napa Orbital battery, which is just like an optima red top. The interior is extremely clean, the upholstery is near perfect, and the seats are VERY comfortable. I have taken a couple of two week road trips around Calif. and it cruised them flawlessly. I have never done any serious off roading in it, I can't speak for the previous owners. It has a bull bar with a warn m10000 winch, which is almost overkill. I made some limb risers for it, and they can easilly be removed if that isn't your thing. Has a huge full length rack with a spare on it with a matching wheel, and another spare on the back w/o a matching wheel. I installed a two inch receiver hitch from Safari Gard on it as well. It does have the usual rust underneath the doors, it is NOT visible from the outside, and in no way effects the functionality or operation. New door bottoms(doors are two piece, so the top halves can be romoved for summer, etc.) can be purchased from Rovers North reasonably priced. The paint is in pretty good condition, I wax it all of the time and it really does shine quite nice. The body is very strait, and there is only one small dent on the hood from the previous owner. There are ski racks on top to carry 12 pairs of skis or 8 snowboards and they will be removed from the vehicle unless you would like to pay extra for them, $275 is a fair price, b/c they were a lot more than that, and I want to keep them for future use. The bike rack is NOT included. All of the locks and electricals work flawlessly, except the front passenger door only opens from the outside, likely an easy fix but I haven't had time. Everything I have done to this truck I have done with the thought in mind that I would keep it forever, so i used all of the best. It will come with a CD player and speakers. It does not come with the GPS unit shown in the pictures. Yes, those are wood cupholders mounted to the top of the center console. It cruises at about 65 on the freeway comfortably. I have had other work and inspections done to make sure it was road worthy and safe. I have ALL of the receipts for all of the work that I have done to it, and they are for thousands of dollars, which is why I am forced to sell it. I also just had the radiator re-cored, and the brakes checked at a land rover specialist. The mileage is exempt, but my feeling is that is is correct. The odometer/speedometer are in kilometers. There are other things that I'm sure I left out, so email me with your questions. I am located in Bellingham WA. I reserve the right to remove the landy from ebay because it is listed locally. This truck would be difficult to register in California, so I would not recommend purchasing it if you plan on registering it in Californiaas it would not really be registerable there until the 25 year smog exemption has been met. The bulkhead is rust free. The center diff lock works flawlessly. It does have power steering. Feel free to come by and check it out. Seats nine people! THANKS AGAIN.
Email for more pics only if you are really interested. Need to sell this week!! Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Located in Bellingham WA, 98225.
